Tenor Massimo Giordano to release debut album with BMG

Massimo Giordano is not quite as well-known as some ... but, he is one of the world’s leading tenors.

So, it's about time that he release his debut album, right? Well, it's happening: Massimo Giordano is poised to release his debut album exclusively with BMG. This will be the first classical solo artist album from BMG since BMG and Sony broke up in 2008.

His soon-to-be-released album will feature exactly what it should as Giordano's first - arias directly from the standard tenor buffet: Verdi, Puccini and Giordano.

Born in Pompei into a working class family, Giordano did not study music until he decided to move to Trieste to study classical singing and flute. He made his operatic debut in Spoleto in Massenet’s Werther.

After conquering the opera stages in Italy, Massimo Giordano began singing in all the major international houses of the world some 10 years ago. Giordano made his Met Opera debut in 2006 as Des Grieux with Renée Fleming as Manon ... you see, whether it be at La Scala in Milan, Glyndebourne Opera, Vienna State Opera or Royal Opera House - Covent Garden, you can be sure that Giordano will be sharing the stage with the likes of notable Divas and will be under the baton of such conducting luminaries as Claudio Abbado, Fabio Luisi and Marco Armiliato...
