A Friday Finale - David Leventi's Opera Houses

Curtain, Royal Swedish Opera, Stockholm, Sweden
Those who've frequented my little playground here have heard the name David Leventi before ... but, for this Friday Finale, I'd like to bring him back.

The Arthur Roger Gallery of New Orleans, LA exhibited Mr. Leventi's Opera Houses which showcased some truly stunning pictures of some of the most beautiful opera houses in the world:
David Leventi’s current project, titled Bjoerling’s Larynx, records the interiors of world-famous opera houses. Photographed with a large-format view camera, this body of work is architecturally meticulous. The large prints historically document these national landmarks, capturing rows of velvet seats, ornate private boxes, chandeliers and gilt decorations in incredible detail.
Yours Truly has just found a fascinating video on the gallery's website showing Mr. Leventi himself giving a tour of his brilliant photos. I encourage you to take a few minutes and end your work week by checking it out. The story of how he began his photographic mission is particularly interesting.
