David Leventi: Opera Houses

Here is some visual beauty for your Friday.

The Arthur Roger Gallery of New Orleans, LA has just posted an exhibition by David Leventi called Opera Houses. These are some truly stunning pictures of some of the most beautiful opera houses in the world. From the website:
David Leventi’s current project, titled Bjoerling’s Larynx, records the interiors of world-famous opera houses. Photographed with a large-format view camera, this body of work is architecturally meticulous. The large prints historically document these national landmarks, capturing rows of velvet seats, ornate private boxes, chandeliers and gilt decorations in incredible detail.
Take note, Friendlies... look at the size of some of the European houses - then, open the picture of the Metropolitan Opera. We all know the Met is mammoth in size, but this fully puts it into perspective.
