HAIR, 16 bars and a can of food -

Do you think you have what it takes to perform in a Broadway show? This might be your chance - from Playbill.com's Adam Hetrick:
While members of the original Broadway company of Hair are gearing up to make their London debut in April, producers of the current New York revival will hold auditions for new tribe members on Jan. 21.

An open, non-equity casting call for the iconic musical will take place from 10 AM-6 PM at the Public Theater. Actors are asked to prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo pop or rock song (with sheet music), and to bring a headshot and a resume.

Hair has also aligned with City Harvest to sponsor a canned food drive to coincide with the auditions. Organizers are hoping that those auditioning will bring a food donation along with their sheet music.
