The Drama Drop -

* The Full-Figured Lady Has Sung... After 67 seasons, Connecticut Opera has closed its office, has ceased business, has let staff go, and told its 2,000 subscribers they will get no money back on the two springtime productions that were recently canceled. According to the Hartford Courant, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said he will be investigating the situation and plans to make a formal demand for information from the opera on Friday.

* Memories... “Broadway by Request,” Betty Buckley's autobiographical show, began a one-month run at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency on Tuesday evening. Ms. Buckley is out to tell the story of what it is like to be a Broadway diva - the job is strenuous, brutally competitive labor in which every accomplishment is countered with refusal, disenchantment and self-doubt. We didn't need the New York Times to tell us that "nerves of steel are recommended".
